Summer Here We Come!

Summer is fast approaching. It is time to get your swimsuits out of your wardrobe and be ready to have fun in the sun! Ooops, did I mention the sun? We all know that the UV rays coming from the sun bring hazardous effects most especially to our delicate skin. In order to protect ourselves from skin cancer and unwanted skin discolorations, we have to put a sun block lotion that has a high SPF content. It is advised to put a handful everyday since we are living in the tropical area.

I'm Back!

I just came from a 3-day sickness. Now that I’m back, I have to catch up and do the things that I’ve missed. Getting at least a PR1 here in my blogspot account is one of the things I needed to pull off since I need some money to sustain my needs. Plus, I have to save up for a culinary course that I am planning to take up next school year. I guess, I need to work harder to make my dreams come to life. Blessings come to me, pretty please?

Envious Me

I am seriously craving for chocolate with almonds right now. I wanted to grab lots of them since I've been feeling under the weather these past few days. It's always been my ultimate comfort food and every time I take a bite of my favorite brand of chocolate I always feel happy & relieved. Cakes and Ice Creams would also be nice. My preferred ice cream flavor would always be Quezo or Vanilla. While for the cake, it would be Black Forest or Sansrival. I blame my sweet tooth to my dad. Haha

JS Prom

Seventeen more days to go before my little sister’s prom. I can’t wait to see her wearing the gown I’ve personally picked for her. I am pretty sure the gown will perfectly fit her slender body and I hope she will be one of the prom queen candidates. The venue will be at Bellevue hotel in Alabang. She told me that she has plans of staying overnight with her close friends after the event. I didn’t go to the prom during my high school years so I don’t know how it feels like attending the JS Prom. I was insecure of my body that time. I was often called "fat" or "giant" by my guy classmates. In short, I was a victim of school bullying! But it was one of the motivational factors that pushed me to change my unhealthy lifestyle. I'm just glad that I did it! Now, I'm more comfortable with my physical appearance. Finally, I can wear medium-sized clothes from my favorite local stores!

Kyle XY

It's been a long time since I've watched the American TV series "Kyle Xy." Every episode is worth-watching! It is about a boy who wakes up in the middle of a forest with no memory. The following series gets intense when he is trying to understand who he really is or why he has no memory of his past. He is acting like a new-born baby who doesn't know how to do the simplest things in life. While he was walking in the street, a police officer picked him up and brought him to the station. He has no records at all. No identity,No home address and they have found out that he has no navel. That's weird, huh! A female psychologist named Nicole Trager adopted him because of his special gift, innate talents and his innocence. He became very close to Trager family but he is still in search of answers from his past. More characters came in and played very important roles in his life.

Across The Universe

Thanks Ate Nor for this tag.
Tomorrow, February 4, 2008, at 00:00 GMT (7:00 p.m. New York /EST), NASA will beam the Beatles’ “Across The Universe” to the star Polaris, 431 light years away (that’s 431 years travel at the speed of light before our all-time favorite Beatles song reaches the 2.5 quadrillion miles away star). This is being done to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the song, the 45th anniversary of NASA’s Deep Space Network, an international network of antennas that supports missions to explore the universe, and the 50th anniversary of NASA.Across the UniverseNASA has invited people around the world to play “Across the Universe” on their audio systems at the same time NASA beams its mp3 version into outer space. The idea was hatched by Beatles’ historian Martin Lewis, who encourages all Beatles fans to play the track as it is being beamed to the distant star. Additionally, this date will be known as “Across the Universe Day”. The event marks the first time a radio song has been beamed into deep space.Join the celebration!Bloggers, let’s do this! Please invite other bloggers as well to join the celebration.

Big Appetite

I have got a big appetite. I just love dining out with my family every weekend. We almost have tried all types of cuisine and I can say that Filipino is still our favorite. I can still recall the days when my family and I used to hang out at Alabang Town Center and try all those really nice and cozy restaurants.

Here's the list of our favorite restaurants:

Gerry Grill, Bacolod Inasal, Inengs, Krocodile Grill, Tapa King, North Park, Super Bowl, Mongkok, Mr.Choi, Chef The Angelo, Sbarro, Yellow Cab, Red Crab and many many more.

I just can't wait for our next food trip! I saw some new places to eat and I'm pretty sure my family would love it especially my dad. My dad has a big appetite too. He just loves having Pinoy food every time he comes home for a 1-month vacay.

Perfect Summer Getaway

My Perfect Summer Getaway

I always dream of visiting Batanes someday. It is located in the Northern part of Luzon which is 190 kilometers away from Taiwan. Since it is situated closely at Pacific Ocean, it is most likely affected by typhoons. Good thing, Ivatans’ houses are strong enough to endure strong tropical storms. There are a lot to see in Batanes and one of them is The Lighthouse. I’ve never seen a lighthouse before and I couldn't help but  get excited every time I look at it. I would also love to see cows freely roaming in the green pastures and the rocky shore in Valuga beach. Philippines is indeed blessed with beautiful tourist spots.

The World Almanac

I bought an Almanac book last week. I didn’t expect myself to pick one that is full of interesting facts covering more than 40 major topics from Animals to Science to Sports to History since I am not into books or should I say a bookworm? When I opened the book, the first thing that popped up in my mind was, Should I really read or just look at the colorful pictures? I was hesitant at first and after scanning every page of it, I just found myself reading every detail. Wow! After a long time of getting stuck up in front of the computer I was able to get myself a break and focus on the educational book.

Flip Flops Addict

I just love wearing flats. It is comfortable to wear and it goes well with my everyday get-up. I am a huge fan of Havaianas slippers. I always drop by at the flip-flops branch in Alabang Town Center for newest designs. It is really hard to pick a pair for myself since I'd love to have them all. My last birthday was a blast. I have received a green Apple iPod shuffle and a pair of brown Havaianas slippers. Having the iPod was a blessing for me since I didn’t expect to receive a luxurious gift on my special day. Thank you Lord for all the blessings!

Bag-a-holic

This is my much loved Nine west bag. It was a gift from my aunt who is also a bag-a-holic like me. She definitely knows my type though she is already in her mid 40’s. She listens to foreign music icons like Avril Lavigne and Usher Raymond. Not only that, she has a CD of the rock band, The Greenday. She is undeniably cool. Most of the bags I have came from her and all I can say is that she really has a good taste when it comes to fashion. I love her to bits and pieces! She's beautiful inside and out!
