Starbucks Strawberry Pistachio Cake

On some days, calories do not matter... Baby and I share the same taste when it comes to food especially DESSERTS! We can finish a bar of chocolate in just one sitting. That's why when we have heard about Starbucks' newest product--- Strawberry Pistachio cake(P120 per slice / P1295 whole), we have visited Starbucks-Trinoma right away for a Tuesday merienda date.

My two favorite food were combined in a cake--- Strawberry and Pistachio. The pistachio was not overpowering at all and it gives that scrunch that I really liked. Teehee!

Snoe Whats Up Brow Eyebrow Gel Corrector

My eyebrows are sparse and uneven. Yes, you heard it right! My left eyebrow is shorter than the right one. It's been my problem eversince! Every time I go for an eyebrow threading, the technician would always notice my uneven eyebrows. Grr!

Ma'am bakit maiksi yung kilay mo sa kaliwa? I really am tired of hearing the same thing over and over again. That is why, I have decided to give a solution to my longtime dilemma. Although not permanent, at least I have got something that will help in hiding my flaws when going out.

I got Snoe's What's Up Brow Eyebrow Gel Corrector for P800+. I am not a pro in doing my own make-up so I asked the SA to apply it for me. I liked it very much! I felt like an instant celebrity when I saw my brows! I took a lot of selfies before removing my eyebrow make-up and compared it with my photos with just eyebrow powder on and I really looked different.

With Snoe's What's Up Brow Eyebrow Gel Corrector, my eyebrows look FANTABULOUS! I am still struggling to apply it impeccably though. But I am positive that I would be able to master it sooner or later. Practice makes perfect, right?

Inverted Fishtail Loomband

Tada! This is my third time to make a loom band. The first two were fishtail loom bands that I personally made just for my baby. The photo above is called an inverted fish tail loom band. The colors (blue and pink) were handpicked by my little sister. She asked me to make this one for her and she really loved it!

The other loom band styles are nice too, but based on the Youtube videos that I just saw, they are quite knotty to do. Plus, I have to acquire a new kit, for instance a monster tail crafting kit, if I would like to create new loom band styles. The styles are endless, indeed!

Lindt Strawberry Intense White

Lindt Strawberry Intense White, why are you so DAMN good? Baby just gave me this heavenly delicious chocolate that she bought at Puregold Dutyfree in Angeles City, Pampanga. She knows that chocolates make me weak in the knees.

The strawberry bits made this chocolate an instant favorite. I finished the whole bar in just one sitting! I am seriously hankering for one right now. I am just hoping that mainstream grocery stores have this! Argh!

Tomato Swap Watch

Sporting my little sister's swap watch today. This one is from Tomato. It costs P1000, which includes two straps of your choice. The gold clock face makes it elegant-looking! It may look quite simple on the photo but it is really, really nice in person.

I just love how this swap watch can create different looks in one day. I would like to get one for myself too but I do not have the budget right now.

YABU: House of Katsu

I am glad to announce to all of you that I just joined the YABU: House of Katsu craze! Good remarks from different food blogs online is the main reason why I gave in. Plus, I have great love for Japanese cuisine and I just could not let this pass. Baby and I trouped to its ATC (Alabang Town Center) branch for dinner. It was around 6 P.M when we got in and there were only a few empty tables left. The longest table was occupied by a group of office workers and we were seated next to them. They seemed to be first-timers too as they were shown how the YABU ritual is done.

The Yabu ritual is done by grinding the sesame seeds in a small bowl then pour some Tonkatsu sauce and you are all set!

I went for the Rosu (Pork Loin) set which is served with unlimited Japanese white rice or brown rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, cabbage with a choice of dressing, and a bowl of fruit (pineapple and watermelon).

While baby had the Hire and Seafood Katsu set which is a mixture of pork and seafood. It also comes with unlimited Japanese rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, unlimited cabbage with sesame dressing, and a bowl of fruit.

The Pork Tonkatsu I had was crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside. It was no ordinary Katsu for me since it tastes real authentic. I had two rounds of miso soup, fruits, and LOTS AND LOTS OF CABBAGES! The GOMA dressing (roasted sesame) is what I poured on top of my cabbages! It was flavorsome! I wish I could find some Goma sauce at mainstream grocery stores. It would surely make a perfect dressing for my veggies!

Movie Date

Late post: Baby and I watched the Into The Storm movie at Alabang Town Center two days ago (Thursday). I thought it was not crowded since it was a weekday, and the movie has been on theaters since Aug 7 but clearly, I was wrong. We were not able to catch the movie on time as we spent the remaining 15 minutes of our time buying vittles at Taters. When we got in, the theater was jam-packed... Movie goers were mostly senior citizens... The movie was A-W-E-S-O-M-E though. No dull moments! My heart was pounding the whole time!

Sanuk Sandals

My birthday came early this year! I just wanted to say thank you to my baby for giving me this really nice pair of Sanuk sandals. BTW, These are NOT shoes! They are sandals! (this is the famous tagline of Sanuk) and now I know the reason why! They are lighter, slimmer and super flexible!

Buying a pair of Sanuk sandals has never crossed my mind as they are quite spendy. Plus, I am more of a flip-flops person and I rarely wear shoes when going out. But I guess, I would make an exception this time.

...Very comfy to wear... which makes this pair perfect for taking long walks. I just checked out the Sanuk store near my place and saw some pairs that are too cute to resist!

Gloria Jeans Coffees SM Center Muntinlupa

Now there is more reason for me to visit SM Center Muntinlupa. Gloria Jean's Coffees, a famous Australian coffee shop, is now accessible to all coffee lovers in the south.

My mom who is a certified coffee addict asked me to get some frappuccino at Gloria Jean's Coffees. Cocoa Loca is the counterpart of Starbucks' mocha frappuccino which is my mom's all-time favorite.

I got the white chocolate mocha espresso while my little sister had Cocoa Loca too. My mom said that GJ's tastes way better and I guess she was right! GJ's white chocolate mocha espresso really was good! It was made with so much goodness!

Pistachio Ice Cream

Yellow Cab's Pistachio ice cream is the bomb! I just love eating anything that is atypical to my taste. It was saccharine and every bite was divine! I almost finished it and forgot that I've had to share it with my mother and little sister. Haha! They have got other ice cream flavors that I would like to try next time! By the way, this one costs P120. It is kind of pricey for its size but trust me, it is worth it!

Butterscotch Oat Fudge Bar

Butterscotch Oat Fudge Bar ---This is my newfound favorite Starbucks pastry! It really tastes good! It is chewy, soft and sweet. Everytime I visit my favorite Starbucks branch (Starbucks SLEX Muntinlupa), I always pair it up with Classic hot chocolate or White chocolate espresso. I'm seriously craving for one right now! I also find the double chocolate fudge bar tempting!

Gryn Wasabi Las Pinas

Sushi, anyone? I ordered this bilao of mix sushi at Gryn Wasabi. Gryn Wasabi sells sashimi, sushi, siomai and other mouthwatering vittles at prices you can afford.

I called up their Las Pinas branch last Sunday around 7 P.M and it was delivered to my granny's doorstep at 7:45 P.M. I was quite impressed of their fast delivery service!

The bilao really looks colorful, right? It has 35 pieces of mix sushi--- California Maki, Crabsticks, etc... (P300). The California Maki has some mayo on it which makes it unique from the ones I have had before. But the Pure Kani sushi is what I liked more though. I would like to give the solo salmon and tuna a try next time. They also look delish!

Consider having Gryn Wasabi on your birthdays, weddings and other special occasions... It makes a perfect snack too!

Teriyaki Boy Festival Mall

It is kind of peculiar for my family to try out new things. They always go for the ones they are used to, which I dislike at times. That is why I really was surprised when my dad took us for a dinner treat at Teriyaki Boy in Festival Mall-Alabang.

California Maki Roll... This is DELICIOSO! My dad loved it too despite not being a huge fan of Japanese cuisine.

Ta-Da! This is the highlight of our scrumptious dinner at Teriyaki Boy... It is called the Lechon Kawali salad. It has lechon kawali pieces on top with carrots, cucumber and lettuce. The wasabi dressing made it EXTRA special.

Unfortunately, I was not able to take photos of all the dishes we have ordered... But they were all good!

Too Much Caffeine

Coffee addict? Yes, I am! But I have been trying to constrain my coffee cravings these days. Too much caffeine's been running through my veins that is why my circadian rhythm is f*cked up, big time!

Anyway, I really don't mind of not getting enough sleep at night but there were times that I would wake up with massive headache or body pains.

But in spite of experiencing these terrible scenarios, I still went for some tea at Coffee Republic the other day. Haha! The tea was very relaxing and I was surprised that I didn't have a hard time sleeping that night.
