I’ve been using my notebook for years. I can’t let the day pass without turning it on. But my mom is kind of worried about my eyes. She advised me to wear $ 8 Complete Rx Eyeglasses. Those prescription eyeglasses can be bought at The popular online eyeglasses shop, Zenni. I’ve browsed through their website and found Holiday Glass Frames From Zenni Optical. Rants of the author
Posted on 10:52 PMby Gracie with No comments
I'm feeling dejected, strained, baffled... argh, i don't know.. I just want to end this year saying sh*t! Yes, my life has been a rollercoaster ride. I want to break free... I've been hiding from the closet for so many years and now, I came to realize that I want to be myself and stop pretending that I'm still the happy girl my family used to know. But how? I don't know when and where to start. Sigh... As much as i wanted to utter those words, i can't. I know they won't understand.. I know.. Perhaps, i'll just keep hiding from the closet and go on with my life...

New ways to earn online!
Posted on 7:14 PMby Gracie with No comments
I've been blogging for almost three years now and i'm pretty pleased with my earnings. It's just that some of them aren't consistent in giving blog assignments. Maybe it has something to do with my PR (page rank) because the PRs i've earned at my blogs have all dropped down to 0. Nyay!
As I'm in need of extra bucks to pay off some debts, I've decided to look for new ways to earn online. The new programs I found aren't big time money making machines but it's fine with me. The moolah I am getting from them, whether it is small or big, would be of great help to support some of my needs. :)

New gadget

Yesterday, we went out to buy a second hand mobile phone for myself. Since I don't have enough budget, I've decided to look for a cheap yet good camera phone. I've been choosing between Motorola V3 and Motorola W375. Of course, in terms of specs, Motorola v3 has an edge. And yes, the color (Pink) was a plus too. I've had a hard time choosing which mobile phone I'd get for myself as I was really in love with the pink Moto V3 (regardless of some fades and scratches on the flip side). I asked for my sister's opinion and she said that I should get the W375 instead since it's working perfectly and still looks new. I was kind of disappointed with my decision but better safe than sorry, right?.

4 more days to go before Christmas but I'm not done yet with my Christmas shopping, Nyay! I hope I would be able to complete my list before Wednesday so I'd still have time to wrap the presents for my family. Indeed, 2008 has been a tough year for me. And I hope the year 2009 would be a better one. I'll keep my fingers crossed...

No to Smoking!
Posted on 9:59 AMby Gracie with 2 comments
In Canada, Prime Minister Stephen Harper assured throughout an election campaign to outlaw flavored cigarettes that are being sold in eye-catching packages. He was dismayed to see cigarette being promoted in a manner that is so inviting to young adults. Prime Minister Harper also said that he would forbid cigarette promotion in youth magazines and online sites and disallow flavor and preservatives that attracts young adults. I get distressed whenever I see children smoking tobacco, you know, it won’t bring any good to your health and body, so please stop smoking.

Hey guys! Sup? How’s your weekend? Mine was filled with so much fun. =) As usual, I am here to share with you some of the things that happened to me the last few days.
- In spite of a very bad weather last Sunday, the out-of-town trip with the family still pushed through.
- In spite of a very bad weather last Sunday, the out-of-town trip with the family still pushed through.
- Yesterday, I just received a text from my brother informing me that his wife is 2 weeks pregnant.
- I got the chance to see my tita's brand new car.
- And of course, I am always thankful with all my heart, to Our Lord Jesus Christ for all the blessings He has given us. God is good all the time!

Manong's Bar & Grill
My family and I just had an awesome dinner at one of our favorite Filipino restaurants in the country, Manong’s Bar and Grill.
We have ordered for baked mussels and liempo. I'm a sucker for seafoods! I can finish one plate of baked mussels in less than 5 minutes. I'd like to try the other Pinoy viands on our next visit such as sinigang and kare-kare.

I am back!
Posted on 9:36 PMby Gracie with No comments
I’ve been MIA for a while because I was busy updating my domain website. As you can see, my page rank 2 has dropped into deplorable “n/a” rank. I never thought that there’s such thing as “not applicable” page rank until I finally got one here at my blogger account. Ouch! There might be a lot of reasons why Google cancelled all of my blogs' page ranks. And one of the reasons I have in mind is the Niche thingy. I have heard from a friend that blogs should have a good niche, meaning good content and all that. I guess I have to think of something that definitely would drive traffic to my website and of course, take back the PR that was taken away from me. I was deeply saddened!

How to be Happy
Posted on 8:41 PMby Gracie with No comments
More than 100 years ago, author Robert Louis Stevenson offered the following tips for maintaining a positive attitude. They still apply today.
1. Make up your mind to be happy. Learn to find pleasure in simple things.
2. Make the best of your circumstances. No one has everything, and everyone has something of sorrow intermingled with gladness of life. The trick is to make the laughter outweigh the tears.
3. Don't take yourself too seriously. Don't think that somehow you should be protected from misfortune that befalls other people.
4. You can't please everybody. Don't let criticism worry you.
5. Don't let your neighbor set your standards. Be yourself.
6. Do the things you enjoy doing but stay out of debt.
7. Never borrow trouble. Imaginary things are harder to bear than real ones.
8. Since hate poisons the soul, do not cherish jealousy, enmity, grudges. Avoid people who make you unhappy.
9. Have many interests. If you can't travel, read about new places.
10. Don't hold postmortems. Don't spend your time brooding over sorrows or mistakes. Don't be one who never gets over things.
11. Do what you can for those less fortunate than yourself.
12. Keep busy at something. A busy person never has time to be unhappy

According to Jackie Chan’s web page, he will construct a museum in Shanghai that will showcase his props and costumes from his movies, pictures and other memorabilia. The said construction is scheduled to finish in October 2009. It's going to be a nice place to visit with your family for sure, especially those die hard fans of JC.

Drug Rehab
Posted on 7:46 PMby Gracie with 3 comments
Drug Rehabilitation, as defined by wikipedia, is an umbrella term for the processes of medical and/or psychotherapeutic treatment, for dependency on psychoactive substances such as alcohol, prescription drugs, and so-called street drugs such as cocaine, heroin or amphetamines. According to research, there are residential (in-patient) treatments and the outpatient treatments. More often than not, family with drug addiction related problems or something the like chooses the in-house treatments for thorough and effective Drug Treatment program.
A good Drug Rehab center is a must for patients. They would feel that they are in a vacation rather than a Treatment center. Make sure to select a center with devoted staff that can provide the maximum care for your loved ones. It is hard to be away from someone that we love, but if we think of what the outcome will be for us and for them, waiting for them to get healed will worth a lot. If we are having a hard time to decide on things, the best way to go is to consult a counselor that can give us professional advice on how we can manage or deal with our problem. They are trained and experts in these kinds of field and pretty much this are kinds of people that can guide or lead a hopeless patient to the rescue.

I'm so in love with my hair! :) I had a hair rebond just two weeks ago at a salon nearby. It only cost me PHP 1500.00 including cellophane and other hair treatments. The whole procedure almost took me 7 hours since there were other customers who were having the same service too. I'm quite content with the service they have rendered. The hair stylist was very friendly. He even offered to buy me some food cause it was already past dinnertime when we finished.

My Little Sister
Posted on 11:12 AMby Gracie with No comments
My sister’s name is Gail. She’s an upcoming 4th year high school student at Montessori, my alma mater school. She dreams of becoming a registered nurse someday. She loves to read books, raid different stores and take pictures of herself. :p We have lots of things in common, siyempre we’re sisters eh!
- We're both wearing braces :p
- Loves: Shopping, music, movies, gadgets, bags, flip-flops, good food.
- Hates: B*atches, social climbers and plastics
Well… I must admit that she is smarter than me. She’s always on the top list of students in class and every year she goes up on stage to receive a certificate during recognition day. I am so proud of my little sister. Keep it up sis! Love you!
Thank You For The PR!
Thank God! This blog just earned a PR 4. This is a call for celebration. Plus I just received a text from my dad telling me about something... Well. It’s a family matter. I can’t discuss it here. I just hope that things will be back to normal soon. I miss my family especially my little sister. She’s one of the few persons I really can trust. Of course, I can’t share with her all my uncertainties in life because I don’t want her to worry about me.
…Still, I’m afraid to face the challenge… But do I have a choice? The answer is no. I guess I just have to be strong and face with all my might whatever challenge is in store for me.

Monte Azure Resort
Posted on 3:39 PMby Gracie with No comments
We were able to drive test our newly purchased car, the latest edition of Honda CRV. Yehey! Thank God for this wonderful blessing! We've gone to the province of Laguna and looked around for a private resort. Luckily, we found Monte Azure Resort which is nestled in the northern slope of Mt. Makiling, the home of famous hot springs. The resort’s amenities and facilities include adult pool, kiddie pool and Air conditioned rooms with T&B. They have a bar counter, griller, open shower, videoke and sound system. Function rooms can accommodate 30 guests and the open hall for 150 guests. The place is best for family reunions, wedding receptions, birthdays, workshops, seminars and other functions. We already have made a reservation and we are scheduled to use the resort on Saturday. I'm soo excited!

The perfect word to describe myself right now is, “The princess in distress.” Well. I must confess that I really do have heaps of problems right now. Of course I cannot share with you what they are. :(

Take it from my hands'
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on

Happy Birthday Mom
Posted on 11:28 PMby Gracie with No comments
There are lots of things to look forward to this weekend but there’s one important thing that I just can’t let pass. And that’s the birthday of my mom. She will be celebrating her birthday this coming Sunday and we’ll be having a small party with the whole gang. I have this thought of buying her a signature bag since she adores collecting bulky bags that can carry all her stuff. Anyhow, I still have four more days to raid the stores in Alabang Town Center.

Stardust
Posted on 2:37 PMby Gracie with No comments
Stardust begins in the drowsy English village of Wall, so named for the cobbled fence that has kept back the villagers securely distant from the mystical parallel world that lies just on the other side. It is here that young Tristan Thorne makes a pledge to the prettiest girl in town, Sienna Miller, whose heart he wishes to win: A promise that he will take her back a fallen star. Now, in order to make good on his promise, Tristan will have to cross the prohibited wall, and enter a mystifying kingdom lit by endless enchantment and unfolding legends of which he will suddenly become a part of it.

Mandarin Wok
Posted on 1:25 PMby Gracie with No comments
We had an awesome lunch at Mandarin Wok last weekend. The resto offers gourmet Chinese cuisine that customers will surely love. We went for yang chow fried rice, steamed pork siomai and lumpia shanghai roll. While waiting for our order to be served, we grabbed some magazines to read. And then after 5 minutes, the food came and we started eating.
I am not Chinese but I adore Chinese cuisine, quite a lot actually! Here’s the list of some of my favorite Chinese restos: Super bowl of China, North Park, Luk Foo, Mr. Chois and Mongkok, to name a few. :)

Cool Skin For Laptop

I dropped by at CD-R King yesterday. And saw a cute Winnie the Pooh Skin for my laptop. I can’t wait to get one since my Portege laptop has visible scratches and I really really hate it! They have other cool designs on stock but Pooh is my favorite cartoon character. :)

Adorable Dog
Posted on 3:15 PMby Gracie with No comments
I'm presently browsing “my pictures” folder here in my laptop and just saw this cute photo of our first ever Shih Tzu dog that passed away two years ago. Losing an adorable dog is tear-jerking. I can still recall his last days when he guarded our PC from annoying rats! He was still able to serve his family in spite of his horrible condition. Without a doubt, he was a loyal & smart dog. Haay.. I miss you Damsel! :(
Fashion School
Posted on 1:58 PMby Gracie with No comments
I love reading fashion magazines. I always make sure to buy the latest issue of my favorite magazine to check the most up-to-date trends out in the market. I like to be a fashion designer someday and run my own clothing line. I know before it happens, I need to enroll myself to a reputable fashion school. Thanks to fashion-school-finder! I was able to find the list of new york fashion schools. I dream of enrolling myself to a well-known fashion school in new york because as we all know, New York is the birthplace of hottest styles from famous designers in the world. I really had a great time reading the articles and inspiring stories of well-known designers like Ralph Lauren , Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Donna Karan. I hope and pray that fashion schools new york will help me achieve my goals in life.

You may be supermodel gorgeous or a plain Jane. It really doesn't matter, because you're confident and secure. You don't go out looking like a slob, but you are low maintenance. You have better things to worry about than whether your nails are the right shade! |

End Of The Road For David Hernandez
Posted on 3:11 AMby Gracie with No comments
I think the reason why David Hernandez was voted out of American Idol is because of the male stripper issue. According to the news, he appeared as a stripper at one of the Phoenix nightclubs and performed lap dances for male clients. It shows that America hates gay strippers huh. :)
If I were to choose between Kristy and David, I would definitely pick David to stay at AI. I am not a fan of country music which is the genre of Kristy Lee Cook. :p
The remaining finalists include:
Jason Castro
David Archuleta
Chikezie Eze
Michael Johns
David Cook
Ramiele Malubay
Brooke White
Carly Smithson
Amanda Overmyer
Syesha Mercado
Kristy Lee Cook

Flu Outbreak In Hong Kong
I just heard over the news that Hong kong ordered more than half a million of primary and kindergarten students to stay at home for two weeks because of flu outbreak.
The government requested one of its top scientists to examine the deaths of 4 children. But the World Health organization assumed that only two were positive for flu and both have ailments as well.
They are alarmed because the classmates of the seven year old boy who died last Tuesday have been hospitalized.
I just hope and pray that this outbreak will end very soon.

ODM watch
I dream of having a trendy ODM watch! Since it came out in the market, I never stopped dreaming of having one. I would love to have a limited edition white printed watch by Tim Yap because it is so easy to pair up with my usual get-up, a cute top and jeans.
I have seen other eye-candy designs and they are all cute too! But I don't have the budget to purchase one right now. I have more important things to prioritize.

Summer Here We Come!
Posted on 12:32 PMby Gracie with No comments
Summer is fast approaching. It is time to get your swimsuits out of your wardrobe and be ready to have fun in the sun! Ooops, did I mention the sun? We all know that the UV rays coming from the sun bring hazardous effects most especially to our delicate skin. In order to protect ourselves from skin cancer and unwanted skin discolorations, we have to put a sun block lotion that has a high SPF content. It is advised to put a handful everyday since we are living in the tropical area.

I'm Back!
I just came from a 3-day sickness. Now that I’m back, I have to catch up and do the things that I’ve missed. Getting at least a PR1 here in my blogspot account is one of the things I needed to pull off since I need some money to sustain my needs. Plus, I have to save up for a culinary course that I am planning to take up next school year. I guess, I need to work harder to make my dreams come to life. Blessings come to me, pretty please?

Envious Me
Posted on 7:07 PMby Gracie with 2 comments
I am seriously craving for chocolate with almonds right now. I wanted to grab lots of them since I've been feeling under the weather these past few days. It's always been my ultimate comfort food and every time I take a bite of my favorite brand of chocolate I always feel happy & relieved. Cakes and Ice Creams would also be nice. My preferred ice cream flavor would always be Quezo or Vanilla. While for the cake, it would be Black Forest or Sansrival. I blame my sweet tooth to my dad. Haha

The games back in the 90's were awesome! I've owned a family computer and Mario Brothers and Pacman were the games that I've usually played with my big brother.

JS Prom
Posted on 10:15 PMby Gracie with No comments
Seventeen more days to go before my little sister’s prom. I can’t wait to see her wearing the gown I’ve personally picked for her. I am pretty sure the gown will perfectly fit her slender body and I hope she will be one of the prom queen candidates. The venue will be at Bellevue hotel in Alabang. She told me that she has plans of staying overnight with her close friends after the event. I didn’t go to the prom during my high school years so I don’t know how it feels like attending the JS Prom. I was insecure of my body that time. I was often called "fat" or "giant" by my guy classmates. In short, I was a victim of school bullying! But it was one of the motivational factors that pushed me to change my unhealthy lifestyle. I'm just glad that I did it! Now, I'm more comfortable with my physical appearance. Finally, I can wear medium-sized clothes from my favorite local stores!

Kyle XY
Posted on 9:44 PMby Gracie with No comments
It's been a long time since I've watched the American TV series "Kyle Xy." Every episode is worth-watching! It is about a boy who wakes up in the middle of a forest with no memory. The following series gets intense when he is trying to understand who he really is or why he has no memory of his past. He is acting like a new-born baby who doesn't know how to do the simplest things in life. While he was walking in the street, a police officer picked him up and brought him to the station. He has no records at all. No identity,No home address and they have found out that he has no navel. That's weird, huh! A female psychologist named Nicole Trager adopted him because of his special gift, innate talents and his innocence. He became very close to Trager family but he is still in search of answers from his past. More characters came in and played very important roles in his life.
Across The Universe

Thanks Ate Nor for this tag.
Tomorrow, February 4, 2008, at 00:00 GMT (7:00 p.m. New York /EST), NASA will beam the Beatles’ “Across The Universe” to the star Polaris, 431 light years away (that’s 431 years travel at the speed of light before our all-time favorite Beatles song reaches the 2.5 quadrillion miles away star). This is being done to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the song, the 45th anniversary of NASA’s Deep Space Network, an international network of antennas that supports missions to explore the universe, and the 50th anniversary of NASA.Across the UniverseNASA has invited people around the world to play “Across the Universe” on their audio systems at the same time NASA beams its mp3 version into outer space. The idea was hatched by Beatles’ historian Martin Lewis, who encourages all Beatles fans to play the track as it is being beamed to the distant star. Additionally, this date will be known as “Across the Universe Day”. The event marks the first time a radio song has been beamed into deep space.Join the celebration!Bloggers, let’s do this! Please invite other bloggers as well to join the celebration.

Big Appetite
Posted on 1:12 AMby Gracie with No comments
I have got a big appetite. I just love dining out with my family every weekend. We almost have tried all types of cuisine and I can say that Filipino is still our favorite. I can still recall the days when my family and I used to hang out at Alabang Town Center and try all those really nice and cozy restaurants.
Here's the list of our favorite restaurants:
Here's the list of our favorite restaurants:
Gerry Grill, Bacolod Inasal, Inengs, Krocodile Grill, Tapa King, North Park, Super Bowl, Mongkok, Mr.Choi, Chef The Angelo, Sbarro, Yellow Cab, Red Crab and many many more.
I just can't wait for our next food trip! I saw some new places to eat and I'm pretty sure my family would love it especially my dad. My dad has a big appetite too. He just loves having Pinoy food every time he comes home for a 1-month vacay.
