Brandless Shoes

It is very seldom for me to wear shoes when going out. I am just more comfortable wearing my Havaianas flip-flops especially when the weather's scorching hot outside. But last time, I had this urge of taking these babies out. I bought this pair at a Tiangge store in Starmall, Alabang. It was love at first sight! It resembles a famous shoe brand that I saw while shopping for our upcoming trip to Tagaytay. The color's very versatile. I can pair it with almost any outfit in my wardrobe. Plus, it is SUPER comfy to wear. It did not give me a hard time strolling around despite not wearing any socks at all. I did not expect that these brandless shoes can give that style and comfort at a fraction of the cost.

Sanuk Sandals

My birthday came early this year! I just wanted to say thank you to my baby for giving me this really nice pair of Sanuk sandals. BTW, These are NOT shoes! They are sandals! (this is the famous tagline of Sanuk) and now I know the reason why! They are lighter, slimmer and super flexible!

Buying a pair of Sanuk sandals has never crossed my mind as they are quite spendy. Plus, I am more of a flip-flops person and I rarely wear shoes when going out. But I guess, I would make an exception this time.

...Very comfy to wear... which makes this pair perfect for taking long walks. I just checked out the Sanuk store near my place and saw some pairs that are too cute to resist!

On Being Practical

Who says you need expensive things just to look fashionable? In time of crisis, you really need to know how to be practical. You must know what are your priorities. I was once a brand-conscious type but after I've experienced being broke a few years back, I've come to a realization that I should really start saving up for my future.

I've started to patronize local brands after that. This pair of shoes is from my aunt. She gave this to me on my 28th birthday. It's from Solemate, a local shoe brand that can be purchased at any SM department store. I love their collection. They are so trendy and colorful. I have three pairs of Solemate shoes that come in one design but different colors, of course. They are comfy to wear too.

New designs are now up for sale. I wish I could grab them all but I know it isn't practical to splurge on things I really don't need. I have to keep in mind what I've just learned about saving up.
