Stardust begins in the drowsy English village of Wall, so named for the cobbled fence that has kept back the villagers securely distant from the mystical parallel world that lies just on the other side. It is here that young Tristan Thorne makes a pledge to the prettiest girl in town, Sienna Miller, whose heart he wishes to win: A promise that he will take her back a fallen star. Now, in order to make good on his promise, Tristan will have to cross the prohibited wall, and enter a mystifying kingdom lit by endless enchantment and unfolding legends of which he will suddenly become a part of it.
