In2it Eyebrow Colour

Finally, I bought one of the most raved eyeshadows today-- the In2it waterproof eyebrow colour. I just can't leave the house without filled in eyebrows. It really looks sparse so I really have to exert an effort in filling it in with an eyebrow powder or else my life would be doomed. Haha!

I was able to use the In2it waterproof eyebrow colour just the other day and I was happy with what it has done to my eyebrows. It was highly pigmented and very easy to apply. Would love to show all of you the before and after pictures on my next post (hopefully). I'm so not in the mood to take a selfie 'cause my headache's been a pain in the a** since this morning.

Haircut at Salon T and J

After so many years, I finally have made the call to cut my hair short. It really was a hard decision to make since I'm used to having long tresses. The hot weather's already giving me discomfort and my hair's very dry and wavy. Of course, I've asked for my baby's approval first and she said okay but not too short.

I went to Salon T & J at SM Tunasan for my haircut just yesterday. If I'm not mistaken, Salon T & J is also owned by Tony & Jackey Salon. But Salon T & J has Filipino hairstylists unlike in Tony & Jackey that has Korean hairstylists. Angie did my haircut and I was utterly happy with the outcome. The haircut only costs Php 200, cheap isn't it?

Frankly, I'm not used to having short hair but I'm quite sure I'll get the hang of it eventually. It isn't bad to get out of your comfort zone sometimes. Life is short! Be bold and spunky!  Enjoy while you still can!

Body Recipe Eye Cream

The face is likely one of the first few things that people notice about you. It's VERY important to take good care of it. It's only now that I realized that I should exert my utmost effort in making myself look and feel good. Yeah, it's better late than never, right?

I've been on a quest to finding the beauty products that actually work. Reading beauty blogs online really aid in giving me helpful tips on the beauty products that I should be getting for my sensitive skin. I've read somewhere about this Body Recipe eye cream from HBC. The dark circles under my eyes have been my major problem ever since.

I've tried an eye cream from a famous make-up brand but it didn't help at all. I'm hoping that this HBC eye cream would help in resolving my problem. According to product description, it contains nature-derived active ingredients to help prevent the appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles. It also has cucumber extract to rejuvenate the skin around the eye area.

Krispy Kreme Branches

Who wants a Krispy Kreme donut here? Suddenly, I recalled myself munching on these sinfully delicious treats when I was still free of any illnesses. But now, I need to be extra cautious. I really don't have a choice but to control my cravings and knock down my food intake. Poor me! :( Anyway, Krispy Kreme used to be one of my favorite brand of donuts. I just love the original glazed, oreo and new york cheesecake flavors. I can finish five donuts in just one sitting. Now, I can't do that anymore. I just hope that they could come up with something that's befitting to health-conscious consumers like me.

Women's Fashion

I am getting hooked into Pinterest lately. I actually downloaded it a few years back but it's only now that I got the chance to check it out. My Pinterest followers are some of my  classmates way back in high school and college.

Anyhoo, I found this outfit while browsing the women's fashion section. It instantly caught my eye since black is one of my all time favorite colors. I love the design of this dress. It's simple yet beautiful.

The gold clutch is nifty and it made the whole ensemble more elegant-looking. This would be a perfect outfit idea for a dinner date with your special someone.

Dream Hair

My hair has been my problem ever since I  cut it real short. And it became worse because of too much coloring and hair rebonding. Our hair's our crowning glory. It can make or break us. That's why I'm kind of desperate to discover the treatments that are best for my dry and dull hair.

Anyway, I saw this picture while I was browsing the internet earlier. This is the look that I've always wanted for my hair. It has naturally beautiful waves and isn't dry at all. I love the color too. I'm tired of my usual look. I wanted to try something new this time. But I'm afraid that I might not achieve this look anymore since my hair's been used to hair rebonding.

Nostalgia

According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, Nostalgia means a wistful or excessively sentimental yearning for return or of some past period or irrecoverable condition. I'm feeling nostalgic today. Maybe because I just saw the photos of my recent Baguio trip with my baby. I've been to a few trips abroad but I've really never had the chance to travel locally.

That's why I was very delighted when I got the chance to visit Baguio City with baby --- my forever travel buddy. It was my first time to go there and I instantly fell in love with the place. I felt like I was very close to nature. The trees, especially the pine trees, were very nice to look at! Baguio City's really one of the best places to go to if you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. I enjoyed every moment spent with my baby. We've been to a few tourist spots in Baguio City and had a great time shopping for some delicious delicacies.

The steak and puto bungbong were just some of the many foods that I loved. The mango crepe with ice cream on top that I've had in one of the famous restaurants in Baguio City was very luscious. I wish I could go back to Baguio City to see the other heart-stopping sights. This place has a lot to offer! It's definitely more fun in the Philippines!

Perfect Summer Outfit

Summer is fast approaching. The weather's getting hotter and hotter as the day goes by. Just in time, I found this outfit perfect for summer season. Everything seems light and comfortable to wear. The whole ensemble is so me--- Very laid-back. The white top is a must have in every girl's closet. It is not only good for summer but all throughout the year too. The bag is perf for beach getaways-- It's chic and handy. All the accessories go well with the outfit. Hopefully, I would be able to go to a beach near Manila on summer. Would love to bask in the sun and get that sun kissed skin that I've been wanting to achieve! But before anything else, I need to get some nice tanning lotion that would help me rack up that!

A Night To Remember

Quite lovely set-up, isn't it? This place is called Filipinas Heritage Library which is located at the heart of Makati's business district. It's where my sister and I spent our 18th birthdays with our family and closest friends. It's a good venue for birthdays, meetings and weddings. I can hardly recall how much my parents paid for it but it was less than P 20,000 during my time. Queensland Catering was in charge of the whole set-up including the music, video and photo booth services.

The photo above was taken during my sister's 18th birthday. It was exactly an hour before the event's started. We almost had the same theme except for the fondant cake and give aways. By the way, my second cousin and I hosted the event. It was my first ever hosting job and probably my last! Haha!

Spa Milk Salt

I'm getting hooked in to beauty products like this Spa Milk Salt nowadays. It was recommended by my baby so I didn't hang back of giving it a try. Not to mention, she's a pro in giving beauty tips that actually are effective!

According to the product description, it's skin whitening and slimming with milk formula and natural spa salt benefits. It gives nourishment to your skin and removes dead skin cells.

I used it just yesterday and I was pretty happy with the results. My skin became smoother and radiant. I'm just thankful that I listened to my one and only beauty adviser!

Words To Live By

Words to live by... I guess I have to do all of these to make my life more happy and meaningful.. You know, I tend to complain a lot when things get harder for me and I've got so many doubts, fears and worries that stop me from living a normal life...

I have to strengthen my faith and claim that I will surpass all of these with the help of Our Almighty Father. Listening to praise songs actually help me go through my day-to-day life.

Good Ambiance

Good ambiance is one of the things I always consider when dining with family and friends. You know, it makes the experience more fun and pleasurable. I really do appreciate restaurants with nice lighting fixtures (just like the photo above). It gives out a perfect finishing touch and complements well with the furniture.

I hope I'd be able to put up my own cafe/restaurant someday. It would be a surefire hangout spot for your gastronomic adventures. Definitely, my baby's my future business partner. Not to mention, she's a very good cook. She can create any savory dishes from scratch. In fact, she's just prepared a Korean dish for me last time (Samgyeopsal) and it was real good---No exaggerations! Better than the Korean restaurants I've been to.

Health Benefits of Drinking Warm Lemon Water In The Morning

Drinking warm lemon water has been part of my everyday morning routine for several months now. I've read from different health-related blogs online that drinking warm (not hot) lemon water has multifold health benefits.

- It helps flush out toxins in your body.
- It helps boost your immune system since lemons are high in vitamin C.
- It helps lessen blemishes and wrinkles.
- It enhances your mood.
- It energizes you.
- It aids in weight loss since lemons are high in pectin fiber.
- It balances pH levels since lemons are known as one of the most alkalizing foods.

Lemons are quite expensive here in our country. I'm just beyond blessed that I have got my own supplier of fresh lemons---my baby! Every time we go out on a date, she always have a bag of fresh lemons for me. Lemon has become a part of my daily beauty regimen too!

Funnside Ningnangan Pampanga

Funnside Ningnangan is one of my favorite restaurants in Pampanga. You can choose from a wide array of delicious Pinoy dishes or just shop for some fresh meat and have them charcoal grilled.

This is called adobong pusit. The pusit or squid is chewy and the sauce is cooked with perfection.

This is hilaw na mangga with bagoong. It's best when paired with any fried or grilled dishes.

Funnside Ningnangan is a good venue for birthdays and other special occasions. It's spacious enough to accommodate guests. TV screens are provided in some areas for more fun and frolic dining experience.

Snapseed Application

I took this shot somewhere in Baguio City using my Nikon DSLR. The view indeed was breathtaking. I felt like I was very close to mother nature. The pine trees were very nice to look at---Everything was picturesque! I wish I could grow some on our own backyard but I guess they aren't apt for places with hot weather condition.

Anyway, I edited this photo using the Snapseed application. I made use of the HDR SCAPE option which comes in handy when enhancing some of my photos. You can edit manually as well. Believe me, it's worth-downloading!

Sugar Free Treat Another

Sugar free treat another from the love of my life. She bought these just yesterday when we did some grocery shopping at Robinson's Pampanga. It's my first time to have the dark chocolate bar without any nuts on it. Usually, I get the ones with almonds or cashews since I really love nuts. But since my arthritis' been giving me a hard time these past few days, I'd just stick with my nut-less chocolate bar!

Sizzling Plate Baguio City

Dining at Sizzling Plate's one of the things I truly missed during our short getaway to Baguio City. Frankly, I'm not a meat person but I've made an exception to this one. The steak is the resto's specialty. The meat is tender and well-seasoned.

I'm salivating right now. I'm sure you are too! Haha! Even without any gravy on the side, it was still DELICIOSO! But since I like using condiments every time, Baby poured over some Worcestershire and hot sauce in a saucer and mixed it very well. Not to mention, she's an expert when it comes to making sauces.

My Outfit Inspirations

I'm no fashionista but I know what outfits will look good on me though. I do like reading fashion-related blogs including Laureen Uy's Break My Style blog. It's a good inspiration for all those who have great love for fashion. She has her own unique style that no one could ever imitate. She could carry almost any outfit even the style you never thought is possible.

I'm conservative and I hardly wear sophisticated outfits and when I do, I always make sure that it's comfortable to wear and not too revealing. The outfit (photo above) is something that I could wear on a date. It's simple yet classy. The pumps are gorgeous! And the color is perfect for my fair skin tone.

While this outfit is perfect for malling. I'm a jeans person. I like wearing it when going out with family or friends. It's very comfortable to wear especially when paired with flats or flip flops. The blazer makes it more elegant-looking but the white top alone would do wonders. You would never go wrong with a white collared top. It's something that you should always have in your closet.

Flappy Bird

I've never hated animals before but this one's pretty annoying. Yeah, I'm talking about the famous Flappy Bird game which I've downloaded just yesterday. You have to make this bird fly by tapping the screen. But it seems like Flappy Bird really is a sensitive one. When you just bump his head or tail he's going to die right away.

It's fun and stressful at the same time. I've been playing this since last night and the highest score I got so far was 14. Mind you, it took time for me to get that score. But I'm not giving up! I'm going to do my very best to go beyond that score.

Laybare Branches

Lay Bare Waxing Salon is one of my favorite places on earth. When I see hair then it's definitely time to visit Lay Bare! It's the best waxing salon I've ever been to. The technicians are very professional and the prices are cut-rate. It was my first time to have my legs waxed here and I was happy and content with the results! The hair took time to grow back, the roots are now thinner and there's no itchy feeling anymore.'Cause every time I shave my legs, I couldn't help but scratch it with my fingers and I always end up getting bruises. SM Tunasan is the best branch to go to!

Skyranch is one of the most popular tourist spots in Tagaytay City. It is developed by SM Land under its Commercial Properties Group. It can be found beside Taal Vista Hotel along Aguinaldo Highway.

The Sky Eye is the tallest ferris wheel  in the Philippines with a height of 63 meters while the MOA Eye is the second tallest with a height of 55 meters.

Entrance Fee is only PHP 50. There are some fun and exciting rides inside the Skyranch. Tickets are sold individually and they don't have the ride-all-you-can tickets at the moment. Baby and I were planning to come back here to try the Sky Eye. But I'm kind of scared of heights. Nyay!

Missing Hong Kong

I can still remember the very first time I traveled via airplane. I was in 5th grade and it was an out-of-the country trip with my family. We paid a visit to my aunt who's based in Hong Kong. She paid for all of our travel expenses including our passports and airline tickets. I've already been to HK for many times and the last time I went there was in 2005 (Christmastime). I've got the opportunity to travel all by myself. I just couldn't imagine that I did that at the age of 19 ( indeed a big check on my bucket list). I was still sort of immature that time but I was able to handle all the stress that I could ever experience from traveling alone.

It was already dinner time when the plane landed at the HK airport. Everything went smoothly. I didn't encounter any problems at the HK immigration and even in getting my luggages from the conveyor.  My aunt fetched me after office hours. We had a quick dinner at Mcdonald's before taking the HK taxi going to her flat. It was freezing cold when I got out of the airport. If I remember correctly the temperature that time was 9-10 degrees Celsius. I've had to borrow my aunt's winter jacket to keep me warm.

Since she can't take a day off work, I just made myself busy going out to do some Christmas shopping for myself & family. Commuting in HK is real safe. Nothing to fret about getting robbed while taking the bus, tram or any puv. I usually take the bus going to Pacific Place from her flat and the fare only costs around 5 HK dollars. I've also been to the IFC Mall, Festival Walk, Landmark, SOGO department store and Times Square Shopping Mall.

But the highlight of my trip to HK was visiting the Disneyland. I was so happy to see my favorite Disney characters up close and personal during the parade. It brought back a lot of my childhood memories. I am missing Hong Kong so much. It's like my second home.
